Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Trikle Technology Ltd (“Trikle,” “we,” “us”) governing your use of the Trikle mobile app and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using Trikle, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create a Trikle account. We verify your date of birth at signup and will not knowingly create an account for anyone under 18. By using Trikle, you represent that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate.

2. Description of the Service

Trikle provides:

• An AI companion you can chat with (by text or voice) about your finances, goals, and spending habits;
• Tools to track savings plans, budgets, and investments you set up yourself;
• Optional linking of an external Nigerian bank account (via our partner Mono) so the app can read your transaction history for budgeting purposes.

Trikle is a tool to help you organize and understand your own finances. We do not manage your money, make financial decisions for you, or act as your financial advisor, broker, or fiduciary.

3. Your Account

• You are responsible for keeping your login PIN confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account.
• Notify us immediately at support@mytrikle.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
• You agree to provide accurate information when creating and maintaining your account, including your date of birth (used to confirm you meet the age requirement in Section 1).
• We may suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, provided false information, or used the Service for fraudulent or illegal purposes.

4. The AI Companion — Important Disclaimers

Your AI companion is powered by advanced artificial intelligence technology. It is not a licensed financial advisor, accountant, tax professional, or legal advisor, and nothing it says constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Responses are generated automatically and may be incomplete, out of date, or simply wrong. You are solely responsible for any financial decision you make, whether or not it was informed by a conversation with your AI companion. If you need advice specific to your circumstances, consult a licensed professional.

Do not share your PIN or full bank account/card details in chat with your AI companion — the app does not ask for these there, and any information you type into chat is processed by our AI provider as described in our Privacy Policy. 5. AI Credits and Billing

• Certain AI companion interactions consume “AI Credits,” which you can purchase within the app.
• Credits are purchased via Stripe (billed in USD) or Flutterwave (billed in your local currency), depending on your account's country. All payments are processed directly by these providers; Trikle never receives your card or bank details.
• AI Credit purchases are non-refundable, except where required by applicable law.
• We may change AI Credit pricing at any time; changes will not affect credits you've already purchased.

6. Linked Bank Accounts

If you choose to link an external bank account, you authorize Trikle and our provider, Mono, to access your account information (read-only) as described in our Privacy Policy. You can revoke this access at any time from within the app. We are not responsible for the accuracy of data provided to us by your bank or by Mono, and linking a bank account does not give Trikle or Mono the ability to move money out of that account.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Provide false information when creating or maintaining your account;
• Use the Service for money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, or any other unlawful purpose;
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or another user's account;
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the normal operation of the Service;
• Use the AI companion to generate content that is unlawful, abusive, or violates a third party's rights.

We may suspend or terminate access, and — where legally required — report suspected fraudulent or unlawful activity to law enforcement or relevant regulators.

8. Intellectual Property

The Trikle app, its design, branding, and underlying software are owned by Trikle Technology Ltd or our licensors. Your own financial data remains yours; we do not claim ownership of it. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Trikle app for your personal, non-commercial use.

9. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers, including Mono, Stripe, Flutterwave, and Firebase. Your use of features involving these providers may also be subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of these third parties, except as required by applicable law.

10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE OR THE AI COMPANION'S OUTPUT WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR ACCURATE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TRIKLE TECHNOLOGY LTD SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR FUNDS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING RELIANCE ON THE AI COMPANION, EXCEPT WHERE SUCH LIABILITY CANNOT BE EXCLUDED BY LAW.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (e.g., liability for fraud or gross negligence).

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Trikle Technology Ltd harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

12. Termination

You may stop using Trikle and delete your account at any time from Profile → Danger zone → Delete my account in the app, confirmed with your PIN. You can also request deletion by contacting support@mytrikle.com. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 4, 10, and 11) will survive.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms and any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Website, or the Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.

In the event of any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Website, or the Services, the parties shall first use reasonable efforts to resolve the matter amicably and in good faith. A party wishing to raise a dispute shall provide the other party with written notice describing the nature of the dispute and the relief sought.

If the dispute cannot be resolved amicably within thirty (30) days after receipt of the written notice, either party may commence proceedings before a court of competent jurisdiction in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Nigeria, subject to any mandatory rights or remedies available under applicable law.

Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking urgent or interim relief from a court of competent jurisdiction where such relief is reasonably necessary to protect its rights, property, confidential information, or intellectual property.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or in the app before the changes take effect. Continuing to use Trikle after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
